Training Courses at Beth Tephillah

The followers of Jesus are engaged in a battle to win the hearts and minds of people back to God. To be able to pray accurately and with power, and to minister Jesus' words of healing to troubled people, we must first be able to hear, identify, understand and obey the voice of Father God. Training courses and the occasional seminars to be held at Beth Tephillah Ministry Centre are designed to teach both old and new ways to help people live and work effectively in a rapidly changing, postmodern, post-Christian world.

In Healing Prayer Ministry, which used to be called Prayer Counselling, a small team (usually two) of trained prayer ministers will talk and pray with the person needing healing, using the gifts of the Holy Spirit to discern what God wants to do, and cooperating with him to bring about healing. It is not counselling, and the team are not counsellors. We rely on the one Great Counsellor to do the work, through our prayer in the name of Jesus.

The courses are designed to teach three main areas:

• Hearing God's voice
• Intercession and Spiritual Warfare
• Healing prayer ministry

The instruction will be based on the Bible, and comprise times of teaching, demonstration, and group and personal ministry.

Course Parts:

Courses run on one Saturday each month, in 3 parts, A, B and C. Each part consists of teaching, demonstration and ministry times.

Part A, on the first two Saturdays, is on Hearing God's Voice. It is for those starting out on the prophetic Christian lifestyle, and it (or its equivalent) is a prerequisite for Parts B and C, which follow on alternate months.

Part B focuses on Intercession and Spiritual Warfare, over four Saturdays.

Part C emphasises topics in Healing Prayer Ministry, also over four Saturdays.

Courses:

Three different courses are offered, by completing different combinations of the above three parts:

• Hearing God's Voice = Part A only.

• Intercession and Spiritual Warfare = Parts A and B.
·
• Healing Prayer Ministry = Parts A, B and C.

Further training is available as a supervised placement at an approved prayer ministry centre or similar, for practice, as well as other seminars and workshops during the year. Current approved centres are those who are members of the Healing Prayer Ministry Network, of which Beth Tephillah Ministries is a member.
