The followers of Jesus are engaged in a battle to win the hearts and minds of people back to God. To be able to pray accurately and with power, and to minister Jesus' words of healing to troubled people, we must first be able to hear, identify, understand and obey the voice of Father God. Training courses and the occasional seminars to be held at Beth Tephillah Ministry Centre in 2005 courses are designed to teach both old and new ways to help people live and work effectively in a rapidly changing, postmodern, post-Christian world.

In Healing Prayer Ministry, or Prayer Counselling, a small team (usually two) of trained prayer ministers will talk and pray with the person needing healing, using the gifts of the Holy Spirit to discern what God wants to do, and cooperating with him to bring about healing. It is not counselling, and the team are not counsellors, but counselling may take place. We rely on the one Great Counsellor to do the work, through our prayer in the name of Jesus.

The courses and seminars are designed to teach the following main areas:

• Hearing God's voice
• Intimacy with God
• Intercession and Spiritual Warfare
• Healing Prayer Ministry and Counselling
• Dealing with Dissociation
• Effectively Dealing with Demons
• Living in the REAL Real World
• Other Topics as Needed

The instruction is based on the Bible and the personal experience of the trainers, and comprises times of teaching, demonstration, and group and personal ministry. Each student receives a course or seminar manual with extra resources to extend their learning experience.

Further training is available as a supervised placement at Beth Tephillah Ministry Centre or another approved prayer ministry centre or similar. Currently approved centres are those who are members of the Healing Prayer Ministries Network, of which Beth Tephillah Ministries is a member.

Time and Place:

The courses and seminars are usually held on Saturdays on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, beginning in February, at "Beth Tephillah", 55 Park Crescent, Williamstown (Mel 55 J7). Refreshments are provided. BYO lunch or evening meal as appropriate.

Costs are kept as low as possible, and are presently (2008/2009) $25 per day.
